Paycheck & Work Calculators

Pay is quoted in whichever unit flatters the offer — an hourly rate, an annual figure, a number per paycheck. These calculators convert between them without the shortcuts that make the answers wrong: a year is not automatically 52 paid weeks, and a month is not four.

Where the usual conversions go wrong

The quick version of hourly-to-salary is "multiply by 2,080". It is fine as a rough figure and wrong as soon as anything real happens: unpaid leave, overtime, a bonus, a 37.5-hour week, or a job that shuts down for two weeks in December. Every calculator here takes the hours and the weeks as inputs instead of assuming them, which is why two people on the same hourly rate can get different annual answers and both be right.

The other recurring confusion is biweekly against semimonthly. Twenty-six paydays and twenty-four paydays are not the same schedule and the paycheck is not the same size, which is why the hourly-to-salary and salary-to-hourly calculators report both rather than picking one and calling it "per fortnight".

These are gross-pay tools. For what reaches your account after federal tax, Social Security, and Medicare, use the take-home pay calculator, which applies the published 2026 figures rather than a flat estimate.
