State Paycheck Calculators
One paycheck calculator per state, each built on figures verified against that state's own revenue department for tax year 2026 — never carried over from last year, never taken from another calculator site.
No published state matches. States not listed here are not yet published — their 2026 figures have not been confirmed against the state revenue department.
States with no income tax on wages
Florida, Texas are published here and take nothing from a paycheck: only federal income tax, Social Security, and Medicare apply. Their pages exist because "how much tax comes out of my paycheck" deserves the itemized federal answer, not just the word none.
How states get published here
A state appears on this page only after its 2026 rates, deductions, exemptions, or official withholding formula have been transcribed from the state revenue department's own publications and locked in by tests. States you do not see are not hidden behind a lower-quality estimate — they are unpublished, because an authoritative-looking number that cannot be verified is worse than none. Each state page lists its sources and the date they were last checked.
Two calculation methods, labelled on every page
Where a state's official employer withholding formula for 2026 is published and implemented — California — the page runs that formula and says official state withholding method. Everywhere else the page estimates the year's state income tax and divides it across pay periods, and says so. The two answer slightly different questions, which is why the label sits at the top of each page rather than in a footnote.
